Justice Team

To coordinate and manage the delivery of Social Services for Walpole Island First Nation, while maintaining high-quality standards of service and ensuring the implementation of effective community programming.

The Justice Team is comprised of 7 programs:

  • Court-worker (Chatham): All indigenous people involved in the justice system.

  • Gladue Aftercare Worker (Sarnia): WIFN/Sarnia/KSP/Other

  • Restorative Justice Worker: WIFN/Sarnia/KSP/Other

  • Bail Supervision Worker: WIFN/Sarnia/KSP/Other

  • Probation: WIFN Adults 18+

  • New Directions: WIFN Youth

  • Youth Mental Health & Addiction (2): WIFN Youth up to 25 years old.

  • Anti Human Trafficking: WIFN Youth

WIFN Court

  • Justice Team is also responsible for working with the Court staff.

  • Court happens the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Governance Building.
