Resource Protection

Resource Protection is responsible for checking hunting and fishing parties, ensuring legal limits are being taken and have the proper Walpole Island First Nation permits. The department monitors and reports on wildlife, fisheries, marshes, and waterways.

Mission Statement:

Implemented to preserve and protect Bkejwanong Unceded Territory's, natural resources, and treaty rights for our future generations. 

We are currently in the process of furthering developing our services to meet the needs of the community. Resource Protection is looking to improve upon its community outreach and hunter education especially with our youth.
